How do I get started with enrollment?

What ages do you provide care for?

We are a mixed-age program currently serving children ages 2 through 5 years old.

Where are you located?

We are a Certified Family Home preschool conveniently located in a residential North Portland neighborhood (Overlook/Arbor Lodge) close to I-5.

Is food included?

Yes! We offer a vegetarian, family-style menu—morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack—including organic, hormone-free whole cow’s milk.

If your child has an allergy or other dietary restriction, we ask that you provide alternative(s) for your child.

Do you require children to be independently toileting?

No. We take a child-led approach to toileting, offering the toilet as an option but trusting children to independently graduate from diapers when they are ready. Diapers, wipes, and any topicals are provided by the family.

Do you offer part-time care?

No. Our program currently offers full-time care Monday-Thursday 8 AM to 5:30 PM and Fridays 8 AM to 3:30 PM.

Do you provide prorated pricing during months with closures?

No. Our program budget (including staff pay, materials, utilities, etc.) is based on receiving full monthly tuition, even for months with holiday breaks, staff training days, and inclement weather-related closures (we will generally follow PPS weather closures). Therefore, we offer no refunds for child illness or vacations, scheduled closures, or closures due to inclement weather or power outages. We do not refund prepaid tuition.

What are your views on immunization?

We are an immunization-friendly community that encourages families to follow the state’s immunization guidelines out of respect and care for the most vulnerable members of our community. Upon enrollment, we require a completed and signed State of Oregon Immunization Form for required vaccines, unless your child has a medical or non-medical exemption. This form must be updated any time your child receives additional immunizations throughout the year and as needed during our annual audits.
