“The wider the range of possibilities we offer children, the more intense will be their motivations and the richer their experience.”

— Loris Malaguzzi, founder of Reggio Emilia approach

Values & Approach

Children are naturally curious and innately drawn to experimentation and exploration. We keep this belief at the core of everything we do at Nurtured Nature. We use multiple instructional approaches to optimize opportunities for learning and developing organically, drawing inspiration from RIE (Resources for Infant Educators) and Constructivism philosophies.

At Nurtured Nature, we believe childhood is a time to wonder, to question, and to discover. Here, learning begins with the child—their curiosities, their questions, and the many ways they express themselves. Our role as teachers is to listen closely, observe with intention, and prepare experiences that meet each child where they are, while gently opening new doors to explore.

The environment is our third teacher—a living space that speaks to children through beauty, order, and possibility. Sunlight on wooden tables, baskets filled with natural treasures, open shelves that invite choice, and quiet corners for reading and reflection—every detail is designed to inspire curiosity. It is a place that changes with the seasons, with the projects children pursue, and with the ideas that spark in their play.

We offer natural materials, provocations, and invitations that encourage children to connect ideas with action, weaving knowledge through the work of their hands. We trust in their capability, seeing them as competent and powerful individuals with the right to explore their world in their own way.

Here, learning happens at the child’s pace. It unfolds in its own rhythm, guided by the child, supported by the teacher, and enriched by the environment that holds them.
